Day 2- Basel to Bad Zurzach

Pretty straightforward day following the Rhine upstream. We stopped off at Augusta Raurica to have a look round the ruins of a Roman town.


Some of the towns like Rheinfelden have fantastic old buildings lining the main streets.


We have been really lucky today and have just managed to avoid a lot of thunderstorms which have been all around us.  This has resulted in an awful lot of water in the Rhine and flood defences have been deployed in a few areas.


After pitching the tent we have just nipped across to Germany for our tea.
